I watched Never Let Me Go today. I hadn’t even heard of the film, and while I was laying around scanning channels I saw that it had a good cast, great cast actually. With Keira Knightley, Andrew Garfield, and Carey Mulligan it could hardly go wrong.
As children, Ruth, Kathy and Tommy, spend their childhood at a seemingly idyllic English boarding school. As they grow into young adults, they find that they have to come to terms with the strength of the love they feel for each other, while preparing themselves for the haunting reality that awaits them.
With the beauty of an English and Scottish setting, the film was great and there was plenty of eye candy. I highly recommend spending a couple hours losing yourself in the twisted, more than somewhat depressing story.
